Did anyone called the admission cell for recent updates about any new list coming after the fraudulent admission expose?
I have heard that NMIMS is not returning fee as there is no other list being declared by the same.
Are they trying to engulf higher percentilers on the expense of money? IS THAT TRUE?😠
Official message from NMIMSWe are happy that NMIMS along with the help of police has busted the rackets of the malpractices involving nmat 2013.It has been our motto to maintain the honesty and integrity in the entire process of the nmat exam and we are committed to maintain the same in future and beyond.we believe that the incoming batch and the batches yet to come in future will be relieved that the people involved in such fraudulent process will definitely be punished for their act.The biometric system could not have solved the problem as it required a thorough investigation to catch the culprits. NMIMS's initiative to delve into the thoroughfare of the process from past one and half month has resulted in uncovering the entire act. Nmims along with police were able to nab the culprits who may not be not only be involved with one entrance exam but numerous other exams. It wont be long enough when other colleges will follow suit to uncover more of such operations.This investigation sends a clear warning to all the people involved in any such malpractice and the same is reflected on website that students should not be involved in malpractices. We are sure that all of you and the future batches will have a fair chance of being a part of NMIMS!All the Best!!
Any clarification or an official/unofficial statement as to whether there will be waitlist movement for the 61 seats that are to be vacated? If yes then what could be the expected date on which it will be announced. Have to deposit the 2nd installment of IMT G..depending upon this clarification..

Called NMIMS and this is the answer. I asked how come after admission racket bust, no waitlist is coming. Operator told me that any info if there will be updated on website. As of now, NO MORE MERIT LIST COMING. Puys, pls move on to other avenues. Cheers.

While I am not going to react to the disparaging comments made by some puys, I am surely try to bring some clarity to the table here. As a student of MBA Core, Batch of 2013, I can speak with authority against some accusations here.Placements are important, no doubt, when you might have a family to support, loan to pay off and other worldly responsibilities. You must join a college which guarantees you placements with great profiles. As a Core guy, I am proud and can vouch the quality of education I received at NMIMS. People are going to crib about the quality of faculty, campus, hostels and what not. Ultimately, it all boils down to, 'Have YOU done enough?".
At NM, I have competed with some of the best brains of the country ( I am not kidding, trust me ). In the national B School fests, I have managed to compete on equal terms with guys from IIM's and other premier colleges. My paper has been accepted at an International Conference, I have worked as an RA for a book too. Numerous corporate projects, POR's do bring about a change in you. All this and I am a fresher, about to turn 22 this April. I am not trying beat my own drum here, but this has been made possible only with the education and exposure at NM.
Placements don't happen to you without lifting a finger, you have to work for it. You might be lucky to grab a lucrative offer on campus, but later, your deficiencies WILL catch up with you. People get fired for the same reasons they were hired in the first place.
Now, some 'clarity'. There are no rankings in the B School arena, there are clusters, which means that placements are comparable in a cluster, if not entirely different. In the B School world, the cluster runs somewhat like this,
CL 1: ABCL, XL, FMS,
CL2 : IIFT, MDI, NM, SIBM P, SCMHRD, NITIE (for Ops, it is nearer to CL 1)
This is just an indicative list, and there are other colleges here too. I don't intend to compare colleges, BTW.
Now, some figures too. NM Core has the best placements, period. Both in terms of profiles and packages, we are much better than newer IIM's and comparable to even I and K. For Focus courses, the industries have had historically low payscales, nothing that NM can do in that front. But yes, some of the profile received are niche and best in the respective industry. I am willing to talk about figures once the official report is out.
For people who harbor doubts, be rest assured that you will get the best, if you are willing to work for it. But please don't behave in a manner which defies logic. If you want to degrade us, please do so with facts.
bhaai.. plzz suggest me in choosing btw IIT-D or NMIMS core. IIT-D ka fee is jst 4Lakhs.
