4 Internships mostly in Fortune 500 companies i.e 1 per semester for 4 semesters 1 summer internship after semester2
hundred hours of guest lectures from industry stalwarts mostly our alumni
TISS enjoys location and alumni network advantage ( HRM course dates back to 1970's 😛 ) so it provides intense industry exposure with the companies located in Financial capital of India
I have bought the TISS test pack from IMS. At the time of buying they said it would be paper based but now they have shifted to online format. But I have not got login credentials to access the tests. Anyone facing same problem here? It would be really great if anyone can help out with this.
I have heard a rumour surrounding TISS.Its goes like this" The quitessential 'IT male' rarely makes it through the hallowed gates of TISS".
Being a member of the above family , is it true that IT people (who are the prime Mba or equivalent education seekers) are ususally not favoured for admission in Tiss? What is the diversity ratio of the current batch ?(i.e engineers non engineers), please enlighten.

well.......Might be listening straight from Horse mouth will keep ur doubts to rest ....:P
There are good number of engineers (most of them from IT) in my batch and in the junior batch
For 2011-13 batch ratio is 50:50 ( Engineer: Non Engineer)
In junior batch it is even more skewed towards engineers (2:1)
So whether u are a engineer, Non-Engineer, Already MBA holder doesn't matter as long as u can convience the panel why u want to do a course in HR and why specifically from TISS

Just to add to what Anvesh has said, there are 47 engineers in my batch of 60 (most of them being from IT/CE)
There is someone who has already done his PGDM from a reputed institute, a student with graduation in statistics, a graduate in fashion technology and yours truly has done his graduation in dentistry
Much of what you hear about TISS from non-TISSians can be rumours...Good that you clarified it over here
@gdm4u87 :Got a mail from TISS admission team , to download admit card but this time my examination center is not the same . If you have any help-line number kindly tell.
@Anchun I did prepare well for both, but XAT ne to dhajjiyan uda di meri I was hoping to come to terms with the speed factor-100 min and 100 questions.
