@himanshi23 Hi. The SE course of TISS is very renowned and famous. TISS has got a very broad alumni base. Earlier, companies used to hire SE students for their CSR projects and the course become more of a professional course than the one for which it was actually started. So TISS stopped placements since last year's batch just to attract the students who really want to work for Society by setting up NGOs or through other similar means. But I can guarantee you that if you want, you can easily get a job in CSR of corporates through alumni base or external hiring processes. But my suggestion is not to apply just for job purposes, please leave it for those who really want to set up Non Government organizations and aspire to work towards the betterment of society.

@ank_mission_IIM Hi Ankur, TISS professors take care of many Social Sector activtities taking place throughout India. Most of them serve as a board member of some or another Govt. Organization. In this way, when you study in TISS and want to get involved in those activities they involve you. You will get so many opportunities while learning work from them, it depends on one how one utilizes it for his benefits. As for funding am not fully sure, but they grant some fund if the Idea is good. And taking loans for setting up ventures ( Social) from Banks may be easier if you study from TISS

THOUGH APART 4M MY MAIN AMBITION, I M VERY MUCH INTEREST IN RESEARCH AND WRITING......I HAVE WON SEVERAL PRIZES IN WRITING COMPETITIONS AT COLLEGE...BUT NOW AS U R TELLING THERE WILL BE SPONSERED CANDIDATES....AND M A FRESHER AND HAILING 4M GEN CATEGORY......SO FROM 20 SEATS, THERE WIL BE ONLY 4-5 REMAIN FOR GEN. CATEGORY...AND SO CHANCES ARE VERY LOW........HAILING 4M PUNJAB, I HAVE TO STUDY IN BOMBAY IF I WANNA REALIZE MY TRUE AMBITION AND 4 THAT I HAVE TO APPLY TO PROGRAMMES, WHERE ARE WAST CHANCES......AND I ONLY WANT TO GET ENROLL IN COLLEGES WHO R IN TOP 20 BUT ONLY THOSE WHO R IN BOMBAY..........THANKS BY THE WAY
