@develishangie PIT is the Pre INterview Written test. An essay for 50 Marks.

@tiger619 No its accepted as good as an MBA worldwide!

And result is on 1st Feb apparently

The final admissions are given on the basis of the composite score (written test+essay+PI)

Each and every component has its own weightage

Some details about the PIT (Pre Interview Test) for HRM&LR....;(Tentative Info):

1) It would be an essay round and NOT A Group Discussion.
2) The PIT is going to be on the same morning as your interview. (Something like at 9 you have PIT and then at 11 odd your interviews begin.)
3) It would be a 35 minute essay and would be for 50 marks.
4) It would give the option of writing an essay from 4 topics, 2 from social issues and 2 from Business or current affairs or smthng.
5) You need to write it and submit it. The results would be out with your Interview results! (These are tentative info and can be changed too... but more or less would be the same)

Whoa!!! Good to see the excitement building up...It's been less than 12 hours since you are done with the test and you already plan to begin??
Anyways, to begin with, start knowing more and more about yourself. Your strengths, weaknesses, brief background etc. Pretty standard interview questions. Start reading on as many current topics as you can; you might need to write an essay on one of them.

@addicted4MBA : Its not about being a Cat aspirant or not its about being "realistic".Just look at the poll if 90+ is the cut off they'll have only 200-300 applicants this year for HR&LR.Most; of whom would be there for its incredible ROI and PLacemnets but also the ones who lack any kind of conviction to get through..Anyway everyone is entitled to their opinion.no matter how laughable it is.

PS: i am a CAt aspirant myself.

Hi, if any of the seniors could help me with the course Media and Cultural Studies and the kind of preparation I would need to do for making the cut?

Please throw some light on the placement scenario as well;How does it differ from Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Communication) like the ones awarded by SIMC and MICA or any other Masters in Mass Communication?

I am eager to join this course..

Acc to pagal guy poll people who are scoring in the range 80-100 (as of now) is 385 (=119+171+79+16). Considering Cl cut off all of them should clear the cutoffs. Which looks quite unlikely. I guess we should have cateogry wise poll. 1 for general and other for reservations. That can make the picture more clear
