[2013-2015] TISS HR and other programs queries

@vipulchaturvedi how was ur exam??

i agree with @vipulchaturvedi and @utsb...the cut offs will definitely be higher this time around

@vijayant141187 1st feb

@krazykapital i think one should have attempted all 100 because there was no negative marking. There has to be at least 90% accuracy to probably make the cut...if you have attempted 80 questions and you are sure that almost all are correct, keep your fingers crossed
@vijayant141187 thanx buddy : )
@utsb better than 98 percent people who gave 😃 i hope!!

Is there any Ex-serviceman quota applicable to this exam ? though i really don;t seeing this option but just asking

Yes TISS Cutoff is gonna climb to the tops!! quite easy paper.. Vgud GK tested as required for a MA program. For many CAT aspirants QA and VA wontb a problem but surely GK is gng to b the deciding factor... nyways my xam messed up with GK and with this I bid farewell to this season MBA entrances...evry xam of this season has been a disaster :(

Will target 2013 CAT nd XAT

@awesomekrish

GK tests the general awareness of candidate which is must for every manager it has nothing to do with the degree given by TISS

@TISSian : Tentative cutoff for HRM&LR; for OBC category?

GK & English will make the difference. Guess the cut-off would be 85 or so at least.

Its a paper of only english and gk nothing else.............

quant was very very east just a cakewalk.......
GK will surely made the difference.......
cutoff should be around 85+......not lower than that.

paper was damn easy....i guess cutoff for hrm and labour relations will be around '95'.. lets hope..it would be slightly lower than that!!

Nothing can be said ryt now.I hope 80 is a safe bet

i think the cut off for HRM will be between 85-90....lets see

Some GK questions that I can remember

Hi Seniors,

Can someone please throw light on the following courses - M.A. Social Entrepreneurship/M.A. Social work in livelihoods and Entrepreneurship. Does TISS offer placements for these courses/they guide us to start own business? How different is Social Entrepreneurship compared to Entrepreneurship. Also, please let me know the cut off for these courses last year.

Thanks in advance..

Hello everyone,

Hope you had a great exam. I can understand the anxiety that you all must be facing at this moment. Here are a few pointers which I think you should keep in mind:

1) Whatever is done, is done. You cannot change any of the answers now. So, do not sit over any mistakes that you might have made. You are just done with a competitive examination. Take a break. Have fun.
2) No one, not even the ones who set the paper will be able to tell you at this stage as to what will be the cut-off. So, kindly refrain from speculations and asking others' opinion regarding the cut-off. All that is does is raise the anxiety levels.
3) Start preparing for the next, and easily the most critical, stage of the process after you have had a good break. God forbid, even if you don't get the call, the preparation will certainly help you somewhere or the other. We seniors will be there to guide you in the process.
