Mention your correct %ge when you fill up the form for new IIMs. If in case this issue has been raised by the person checking your certificates when you go for your WAT/PI just explain him/her. It wont be a prob.

Hi,
I have scored 98.43 in CAT and have been shortlisted for all the new IIMs and IIM Lucknow.

I have passed my 12th from Orissa board. we have a total of 9 main subjects + 2 optional subjects , and thus a maximum marks of 1100. In Orissa board, normally we calculate our total marks as (marks in 9 main subjects + marks in optional 2 subjects - 60) and divide it by 900 to get the percentage.

But I had not deducted the 60 marks from my total score and calculated the percentage which came upto 80.3..if I go by the above calculation my percentage is only 73.6.

Also, as I came to know from a friend I am not sure if IIMs will take into consideration the way of percentage calculation that is done in Orissa board.

I am apprehensive that due to this unintentional mistake of mine , I may face a rejection.
And since I will not be called for WAt/PI for new IIMs as I have a call from IIML, I fear I do not have a chance to clarify my mistake to the new IIMs in person.

Please advise as to what should I do for this? Should I call or e-mail the admission office? Please advise.
