I was eagerly waiting for this thread :). I will be applying for DMS, IIT delhi only among all IIT's. I dont want to write my profile here as I know its impossible for seniors to predict and comment on my chances of getting a call. My queries are: 1. Where and when are the GD/Pi inteviews held?(Is it only in delhi or everywhere? ). 2. When will the application process start and when does the session generally start? 3. Exactly what % of weightage will be given to individual components of a profile?
Guys what is the last date to fill in the forms? And what about IIT Mumbai?
The application has not yet been opened(for both the IIT's)...but don't worry it will be open even after the cat results are announced(in all probabilities)!!!!!!

Here are the answers. 1) Traditionally the GD/PI processes have been held in Delhi only. However for this year I am not absolutely sure. 2) In most probability the application process will start after the CAT results are out. The session starts around mid july along with the sessions of all courses at IIT Delhi. The same should be true this year too. 3) The % weightage has not been formalized yet, but just to give you an idea, last year this weightage was not disclosed till the end. Till now, the criteria had been 4 years of post 12th education. But discussions are on, as to whether to allow students with only bachelor's degree. You'll soon get to know.

Can't the Gd pi process be held in other cities as well like VGSOM does, as it is difficult for people(work-ex guys) to travel across multiple cities besides the busy schedule? Can you please request the admissions team of DMS to please arrange the gd-pi process in other cities as well. This will be of great help.

Hi, I read the impressive placement report but it is too heavily sided to operations and systems - which is obvious considering its IIT D. But what scope it offers for business consulting ? Lot of names in IT consulting, any business or strategy roles ? kindly elaborate.
Hello puys, Could u please tell me the job profiles offered in summers as well as in finals to the students of DoMS in finance.i wanted to get into IB(front-end). I have an average profile(80,82,80) in 10,12,B.Tech.and i have enrolled for CFA(L1). I have got 1+ year of work ex(6lpa). Hoping to get good %ile in CAT this year.As getting a FE in IBD is damn difficult so do i stand any chance if hopefully i make into DoMS.

As I said, I am a Master's myself. 4 years of post 12th education is mandatory. Now the streams possible are either B.Sc. + M.Sc., or B.Tech. + M.Tech./M.Sc., B.Tech. So basically a minimum of 4 years of post 12th education either in science or in technology domains.
