At the moment, we are conducting a detailed profile evaluation for the aspirants wishing to apply for Undergraduate programs, session starting in Fall’ 2017. To check whether you are eligible for the program, you can mail us the following documents at [email protected]

Our Global First Year program is designed to ensure a smooth transition from education system in your home country to a university in the United States. This program combines credit-bearing courses from the first year of your degree with additional academic support, English-language instruction, and cultural experiences. Together, all these elements of the program combine to create a learning-centered environment, which promotes academic success, active involvement in campus and community life. The Global First Year consists of two programs of different lengths:
- Global First Year Three Semester Program: The Global First Year three-semester program is for students seeking an immersive English-learning experience. The program gives students a first-hand practical and cultural understanding of the FIU campus and the Miami area through its contextual curriculum.
- Global First Year Two Semester Program: The Global First Year two semester program is designed specifically for international students with an advanced level of English-language proficiency who also want the academic, cultural, professional and linguistic support that they need to thrive at FIU.
The program features a robust advising and mentorship component, as well as priority access to the most exclusive, in-demand courses. Students may enter the program in the spring, summer or fall.
Upon completion of the program, student will progress into year two of their undergraduate education with a full year’s worth of academic credits.
