Hello everyone,
I am interested in writing GMAT in April but I have few queries regarding that.they are as follows:
1)If I give the exam in April 2013 so for what session will I be eligible to apply for?
2)What material is necessary for studying for it?I have brought The Official Guide for GMAT Review (With CD ROM) 13th Edition. If any other books are needed please do tell me about them.
3)I am in final year and will pass the college this year.I wanted to join the college this year so with me giving GMAT now,Will that be possible?
4)Is experience really necessary for entrance into a good college?

If any of you can help me with this I'll be very thankful.

@CatNamoNamah Agreed but I just wanted to know the criterion for the admission in these institutes apart from the score...I have no job experience so is that needed..??
"have you got the profile good enoguh for them" Tell me what exactly is needed ??

criteria is tough to enumerate . 720 in GMAT is average for dese schools. they also claim their admitted students have 3.5 gpa on scale of 4 (could be 3.8 too) . average work ex is 4-5 yrs . extracurricular and work ex must show lot of leadership skills blah blah and most important part is essays. I haven't reached the essay step yet so can't comment much on dat πŸ˜ƒ

Well I don't have 4-5 year experience should I stop thinking of even trying to get into a good college...??

No no if you have good profile then please try for it. If your aim is MBA abroad only, then my suggestion give GMAT after 2-3 months of prep, score 700+, have 2-3 yrs of exp (concentrate on leadership performance blah blah and do only relevant job for eg if finace is your goal then take a fin job) keep researching on colleges and what do they require...and then apply in colleges that you like and that are feasible for you.

Sir Like I have mentioned "I have no job experience".So how exactly am I supposed to have 2-3 years of experience in the 2-3 months preparation..??

@prateek987 can u suggest me a few colleges or tell me if the colleges I have mentioned take freshers??
@NeilCaffery some of them ..yes..

people say..they don;t but they do make exceptions...
@prateek987 Any other colleges that u can tell me about??
@NeilCafferyThere are plenty of good colleges which accept freshers... the coleges you mentioned in your previous post are all A++
@prateek987 Okay is there any place where I can get the list of the colleges??
Also do you know any sites or topics in the forum that inform about upcoming exams??
