About 50 questions were asked on contemporary issues. Even in the science and technology section, the focus was on current topics related to the subject. The overall difficulty of the paper was low. The current paper pattern is a clear indication for candidates to focus more on contemporary issues for their UPSC IAS Mains 2016 exam.
