Every year NCERT conducts the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) in collaboration with the education board of all the states to assess and identify talents and offer scholarships for their education.

The first stage selection test is organized and conducted by the respective state and Union Territories, whereas the second stage selection test will be conducted by the NCERT. The admit card for the National Talent Search Examination Stage I Test (State Test) is released online.

Candidates that have applied for the examination can visit the respective state’s educational board official website and download the admit card for the first level test, i.e., the state test. However, for the second stage test, i.e., the national test, the candidates will be required to download the admit card from the official website of the examination conducting authority: NCERT i.e. www.ncert.nic.in.

A total of 2000 scholarships will be offered to the deserving students with a reservation of 15% for SC candidates, 7.5% for the ST candidates, 27% for all other backward category students and 4% for students with any disabilities.

The stage I examination is scheduled to be conducted on November 3, 2019, in all states and Union Territories except Mizoram, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, where the test will be held a day earlier, i.e., November 2, 2019. The stage I test in will be held on November 17, 2019, in the West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir, NCT of Delhi, Jharkhand, and Bihar.

All the candidates that have applied for the test are advised to visit the official website of their respective education boards and download the admit card for the stage I selection test of the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE).

The stage I test comprises of two papers, i.e., Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). Both the papers will be held separately one after the other. Candidates will have two hours to attempt each paper.

NTSE 2019-20: How to download the admit card

Candidates appearing for the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) 2019 – 2020 can now visit the respective state secondary education’s official website to download the stage I selection test admit card. The examination is scheduled to be conducted on various dates in the month of November across all states and Union Territories in the country. The stepwise instructions for the same are mentioned below for the convenience of the students. 

Step 1: Visit the official website of the respective state education board

Step 2: On the homepage, find the links for ‘NTSE & NMMS’

Step 3: Click on the link ‘NTSE’ to proceed further

Step 4: You will be redirected to a new webpage with links related to NTSE

Step 5: Click on the link ‘NTSE Hall Tickets Download November-2019’ for the stage I test admit card

Step 6: Enter the ‘school code’ and ‘password’ to log in on the website

Step 7: Once logged in, your NTSE stage I admit card for November 2019 will be displayed on the screen, download and take a printout as it is a mandatory document to appear for the test
