National Institute of Technology, Nagaland

National Institute of Technology Nagaland (NIT Nagaland) is located at Dimapur in Nagaland, India. The first batch of NIT Nagaland (2010-2014) studied at NIT Silchar for two years and then the institute shifted to its home state, Nagaland in September 2012. The temporary campus is located at the Old DC Complex at Chumukedima. The foundation stone was laid at Chumukedima on October 13, 2012.

NIT Nagaland houses six hostels. At present there are four boy’s hostels, one girls hostel and a brand new hostel for PG boys hostel inside NIT Nagaland campus.. All the basic facilities are provided by the hostels anticipating a students’ need. All the hostels are provided with internet facility. Adequate bus facility has also been extended for commutation of students staying at Hostels. There is a satellite branch of the State Bank of India (SBI) within the campus.

Indoor games like Badminton, Table-Tennis, Carom and Chess and outdoor games include cricket, football are frequently played. In addition a new football and cricket stadium are currently under construction.

Technical Events like SIMULATOR 1.0, GAMMING 1.0, and SCIENCE OF DEDUCTION are held on campus. Sporting events like Cricket, Football, Kabaddi, Volleyball etc are also held. Freshers to the institute are also welcomed with a party.

Placement History

The very first batch of students saw a placement rate of over 74% and proves that the years to come will be glorious ones.
