MBA: Canvas of Difference

Is the glass half empty, or half full is an expression quoted often, which determines an optimism or pessimistic approach of individual. Different people see things differently, it all depends upon ones point of view, and we believe the surprise decline for MBA programs in the market leads MBA to a canvass of endless possibilities.

Drastic change in management education and proliferation of management institutions is witnessed by one and all. Today most of the institutions talk about, world class infrastructure, qualified faculty, 100% placements, accredited, international collaboration, and foreign trips but when I say most, there are few in the fray for providing education with a difference.

Jaipuria institute of management, jaipur is a trend setting and innovative destination, which pioneers the concept of integrated business practices in curriculum, and continues to lead the way for students through providing them world class business education. We believe in providing students multidisciplinary expertise, and developing sophisticated capabilities within them.

Method in Madness

Adopting ethical practices, practicing corporate social responsibility along with the managerial skills is a way of life here. In fact it was the market slowdown that made our commitment towards the students, and society stronger. We ensure today, that our pedagogy is fine tuned with building skill based internship, and concentration on achieving desired learning outcome, which in turn provide industry ready business leaders.

Today we at Jaipuria believe in transformational learning, which relatively involves changing frames of reference of students, habits, and established behavioral patterns. We believe in changing students attitude, and assumption. We found a systematic method in this madness, and we have seen students dwelling in positive state of mind.

Faculty members today play a role of career transition coach who continuously strive towards providing students personalized learning, and productive, and non productive style of thinking. We help in developing their emotional and spiritual quotient, conflict resolution strategies, transition, and of course communication, and performance management.

Inner Engineering

If you do not get out of your shell, you are just a nut.

Sadhguru

We at Jaipuria, Jaipur truly believes in this quote and established Centre for Spirituality & Human Values, called Sadbhav. The entire idea of initiating this centre is to provide students an environment where students can find tools to re engineer one, and explore the higher dimensions of life. Though, the concept of inner engineering is derived from spiritual world, very much adaptable for management graduates. This centre helps students in finding tools to rejuvenate themselves, and optimizes aspects of health, inner growth, and success. It helps in synthesizing thinking, and forming balances between hectic career demands, and peace for self well being.

Learning Outcomes

We feel the clearer is the picture for them about expected outcome at the end of the course, they have greater understanding of their own roles. We adopt the approach on student learning, that distinguishes between performance indicators namely inputs vs. output. The three domain which we complement our efforts are cognitive, affective, and psychological domain. We have adopted the three action model on cognitive, psychological, and affective domain and we work towards building this canvass and measure the same at the end of each trimester.

I often quote to my students, scenes from the movie Zindagi na Milegi Dobrawhere the Hero experiences many things for the first time, and how he removes his fear. Its very important to live in the moment, and feel the only moment you truly have. This is the philosophy of my students today, and this comes out in everything they do with life. We help them develop it further. We ask them to feel free to disregard conventional thinking..we encourage entrepreneurship and innovation. Dr. jain said, “It’s immensely satisfying to see that we’ve created jobs for the next generation. I strongly believe that this is the way of the future. This is the only way you can improve the quality of life of younger people.” This is our constant endeavor to paint the canvass with varied color, and styles, and make the pictures more relevant, and beautiful.
