Know Why IMT Hyderabad is ‘second home’ for Anmole Malik

It was the month of March when I received my offer letter for PGDM from IMT Hyderabad. Being a fresher, it was an unforgettable moment for me on converting to a prestigious institution such as IMT.

I had numerous doubts as to how the entire process will take place, will I be able to adjust in a campus and many such questions which an MBA aspirant is bound to have. To this, the admission committee of IMT Hyderabad came to my rescue. They solved the most trivial doubts and that too in the calmest manner. They were the ones who updated us with the entire admission process, essentials required for our stay, ways of transportation and moreover gave the confidence to move out from our comfort zone to a once in a lifetime experience.

The lush green 30-acre campus and its proximity to the airport makes it an extremely attractive location. The air-conditioned classrooms are WIFI enabled and have all the technical equipment which are essential for making the best managers which the corporate demands.

Frankly, I enjoyed more with the professors than with my friends. The faculty is academically experienced and has spent a considerable amount of time in the corporate. The pedagogy is designed in such a way which makes it a fun and an enriching experience.

Academically, the curriculum structure involves class participation, discussions on cases from Harvard Business Review, debates, presentations, group assignments, project presentations and comprehensive exams. 15 percent of every course is taken up by industrial experts – working professionals. This helped us in understanding what is going around in the corporate world.

IMT-Hyderabad has a very active student life with events happening every alternate day. Also, students celebrate every festival with equal importance, in their so called ‘second home’.

There are various clubs and committees which are domain related like Mercatus for Marketing, Synergy for HR and so on. We also have an Entrepreneurship club called Prarambh and a Social cell called Pahel. These clubs organize events and host food stalls which serve mouthwatering dishes facilitating students to savor heartily.

Committees like Media Relations committee, Alumni Relations committee represent college on the professional front.

These 2 years of my life have been a life changing experience and with this I can vouch for its quality of education, placements, curricular and extra-curricular activities and a holistic development of a person from a mere student to a business manager.
