JEE 2017: Aspirants from Assam, Meghalaya, J&K, can fill exam form without Aadhar card

In a recent notification released on the official Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) portal, on November 24, 2016, the authorities have confirmed that candidates domiciled from Assam, Meghalaya, and Jammu & Kashmir, can complete the JEE 2017 registration without an Aadhar card. They can present other valid government identity cards like passport, ration card etc, provided that they select the city of examination in these states only.

Students from other states have been asked to register for their Aadhar card as soon as possible. To make the process quick and hassle-free, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has set up facilitation centres in each city of examination. JEE applicants can approach these facilitation centres and get their Aadhar card card made free of cost.

Those aspirants who have enrolled for Aadhar and have not received the card should enter the 28-digit ‘Aadhar enrolment ID’ printed on the slip at the time of filling the online application form. The facilitation centre will issue a registration number to such applicants.

To spread this notice, a circular is being issued to all CBSE-affiliated schools.
