IBPS RRB PO 2018-19 – Document Verification Process

RRB PO is a competitive exam organized by IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) for the appointment of Probationary Officer (PO) in various Regional Rural Bank (RRB) in every state. The advantage of the IBPS RRB PO exam is that one would be posted in the home state only. Actually, in RRB, PO post is called Officer Scale 1.

The exam for recruitment is conducted three steps that are the preliminary exam, mains exam and interview round. The selection will take place after the interview round.

The IBPS would complete the procedure of shortlisting the candidates for provisional allotment of PO recruitment in all the participating public sector banks. Document verification is an important step in the recruitment process. If the candidates fail to produce the necessary documents, then their candidature will be cancelled.

A Detailed explanation regarding the document verification:

ID proof:

The candidates need to carry with them the Aadhar card, PAN card, Drivers License, Voters ID, and Passport. These are the important documents required to verify the identity.

PAN card and Aadhar card are considered compulsory during the document verification. Aadhar card has become compulsory for any government job so the candidates must possess the card and it will also be required for opening a savings account or salary account.

PAN card:

The PAN card is necessary. If the candidates do not possess the PAN card, it is necessary to produce challan receipt or online generated receipt from authority that processes the PAN card or Issued PAN card.

Educational Documents:

It is compulsory to produce mark sheets of class 10th, 12th, along with the marks sheet of all semesters of Graduation and Post Graduation course. The exam authority will check the date of passing, eligibility, and marks obtained in Graduate and Postgraduate courses.

Date of Birth Proof:

The candidate’s birth certificate and date of birth in mark sheets are compared.

Passport size photo:

Passport size photo should be posted on the application form submitted by the candidate. The photo should be recent passport size photo.

Character certificate:

The candidates must produce two character certificates from a Gazetted officer or officer in a Nationalised bank. The officer should be above the rank of Assistant General Manager and must not be related to the candidate.

Caste certificate:

The candidate must submit the caste certificate issued by the state and central government. The candidate belonging to OBC category must specify that they do not belong to non-creamy layer section. Caste certificate must be issued one year from the date of exam notification.

PWD certificate:

The candidate with the disability should produce the disability certificate that is issued by the competent authority or issued by the District Medical Board.

Ex-serviceman:

The candidate if ex-serviceman then he must produce the discharge letter along with the proof of last held rank and a pension payment order.

Relieving letter from the previous employer:

The candidate is working in the public sector organization are required to resign from the current posts and relieve themselves from the present employment at the time of joining the bank. The candidate must produce the discharge certificate. The candidates accepting the job offer cannot retain the old job under any circumstances.

If the bank finds any discrepancies at the document verification process, the bank has all the right to cancel the candidature of the candidate. Therefore the candidates are asked to carry all the documents needed for the document verification process. The IBPS will not conduct another round of document verification.
