Congratulations to the winners of PaGaLGuY’s first Photo Contest for Engineering students

Hello Participants,

PaGaLGuY is  glad to announce the winners of its first ever Photography Contest for Engineering students. The winners have been chosen on the basis of Critics Recommendations as well as Popular Choice Awards.

The Critic’s Recommendations are the final three photos listed by  our eminent judge – Pulitzer prize nominee photographer Mr Arko Datta. Mr Datta, while commenting on the photos, said he would have liked to see more ‘life’ in the photos, than mere structures, since the theme of the competition was Campus Life.

Under the Critics Recommendations, the awards are 

First Prize – Entry no 6 by  KiranKumar Natekar, IIT Guwahati

The First Prize Winner  will be awarded an Amazon-voucher worth of Rs 5,000. 

Second Prize – Entry no 2 by K.S.S Bhargav, IIT Tirupati

Second Prize Winner will go home with a  voucher worth Rs 3,000.

Third Prize- Entry no 28 by Shakti Swaroop, Manipal University, Jaipur

And the Third Prize Winner will receive  a voucher worth 2,000.

In the Popular Choice Awards, two  photographs which were well received by social media have been finalised. These are those that garnered the maximum number of ‘likes’ from social media.  The winners in this category, will receive a Goodies Bag from PaGaLGuY.

First Popular Choice – Entry no 8 by Rohit Kolay, Universal College of Engineering.

Second Popular Choice- Entry no 14 by Dhananjay Nikam, SPIT, Mumbai.

Please note that  PaGaLGuY found a few entrants who used unfair means to garner ‘likes’ – such entries were debarred. 

All the winners will receive a verification mail from pagalguy.com. Please follow the details in the mail.

We thank all the participants and  voters for the overwhelming response to PaGaLGuY’s first ever contest for Engineering students.  We intend to conduct similar unique competitions in the future, do follow the Pagalguy Engineering page  to keep update.
