SCRA Exam

SCRA recruitment examination conducted on a national level to select candidates for recruitment of Special Class Railway Apprentices (SCRA) under Indian Railways. The examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on behalf of the Indian Railways every year. Apprentices selected through UPSC SCRA exam will be commissioned as Class I officers in the Indian Railways Service of Mechanical Engineering or ISRME, after the completion of four years long apprenticeship. The exam will be conducted in two stages – written test and personality test. The written test will consist of three papers of multiple type questions covering topics from General Knowledge, English Language to Mathematics, Psychological test, Physics and Chemistry. UPSC SCRA Eligibility : Educational Qualification: Candidate should pass 10+2 with Mathematics as one of the subjects from a recognised board. Applicant should also have studied either Physics or Chemistry at 10+2 level. Age Limit: Candidate should be between 17 to 21 years of age. UPSC SCRA 2018 Tentative Schedule: Official Notification February 2018 Start Date of Online Registration February 2018 End Date of Online Registration March 2018 Availability of Admit Cards June 2018 Date of Examination July 2018 Declaration of Results August 2018 UPSC SCRA 2018 Application Fee In order to complete the registration process successfully, all aspiring candidates will have to pay an application fee of INR 100. The application fee amount can be paid online using debit cards and credit cards. They can also pay via net banking by visiting any branch of State Bank of India or other associated banks.
