CDSE is a Combined Defense Services Exam which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission UPSC twice a year.The UPSC conducts CDS examination to fulfill the requirement of Indian Military Academy, officers training academy OTA, Indian Naval Academy (NNA), and Indian Airforce Academy (IAFA). CDS written exam has three different tests namely English, General Knowledge and Mathematics. Under the topic of “what is cds exam” we are going to discuss about required educational qualification and age limit along with instructions and preparation of CDS written examination. CDSE Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit Indian Military Academy : 19-24 years Air Force Academy : 19-24 years Naval Academy : 19-22 years Officers’ Training Academy : 19-27 years Educational Qualification For IMA and OTA exams Candidate should possess graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institute. For INA admission aspirants must have a degree in Engineering. Air Force Academy aspirants should have passed 12th standard with Physics and Mathematics and having a degree from a recognised university or bachelor’s degree in engineering / technology. UPSC CDS Exam Important Dates: Exam I : Date of Notification. 8th November 2017 Last date to apply for UPSC CDS I Exam 4th December 2017 Exam Date ( UPSC CDS I Exam) 4th February 2018 Exam II : Date of Notification 8th August 2018 last date to apply for UPSC CDS II Exam 3rd September 2018 Exam Date ( UPSC CDS II Exam) 18th November 2018 How to Apply for UPSC CDS EXAM: Candidates need to visit the official website of UPSC. Candidates need to fill up the application details online and after submission take a print out of the same. Application fee of Rs. 200 needs to be paid by the candidates through net banking or by using credit/debit card. Candidates can pay the sum to any SBI branch as well.
