TSPSC 2019 Exam Pattern

The candidates who are willing to appear for the TSPSC Group 1 exams should go through the following process to get shortlisted for the posts:

  1. Preliminary examination: The preliminary examination for TSPSC Group 1 examination will be of objective type questions. Following is the exam pattern for the preliminary exam:

The prelims exam will be a screening test with General Studies and Mental Ability subject. Prelims exam is to shortlist the candidates for appearing for the mains examination.

  1. Mains examination: The mains exam will be conducted as a written examination for a total of 900 marks and it will be a qualifying test. The first part will be the General English for 3-hour duration with 150 marks. Following is the exam pattern for the mains exam:

The mains examination will comprise of six papers where the number of candidates allowed for the exam will be 50 times the vacancies available irrespective of the communities. The candidates should write the General English paper in the English language only whereas the other papers can be answered in either English or Urdu language.

The candidates qualified for the mains exam should appear for all the papers in the mains exam and the oral test. If a candidate misses out any of the above exams will be disqualified from the exams.

  1. Personal interview: This will be the final round for the post of TSPSC Group 1 examination. Personal interview round will be conducted for a total of 100 marks.

The grand total for the mains exam and the interview rounds are of 1000 marks. The candidates who clear all the phases of the TSPSC Group 1 exam will be recruited for the respective posts.
