SSC CHSL 2019 Notification

Staff Selection Commission has the responsibility of conducting various examinations and oversee the recruitment process to select eligible candidates for vacancies across various government departments and ministries. Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination (CHSL) is one of the most sought after the exams which is extremely popular with candidates and is conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC).

Every year, SSC conducts the CHSL exam to select eligible candidates for recruitment against the posts of Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC), Data Entry Operator (DEO), Postal Assistant and Sorting Assistant, and Court Clerk. It is essential that candidates check their profile against the eligibility criteria specified by the SSC for CHSL before submitting their applications. Like every year, SSC conducted the CHSL in 2019 as well.

As per the reports, SSC will release the official notification for CHSL on 3rd December 2019. The notification will be released on the official website of SSC, i.e. www.ssc.nic.in Once the notification is published, the online application process will also commence on the same day, i.e. 3rd December 2019. Candidates need to log-on to the official website of SSC to complete their online application process.

The application process will end by 10th January 2020. Moreover, candidates need to make sure that they pay the application fee before the last date, which will be notified later but is usually around the end of application process only. Once the application process is complete, SSC will be conducting the Tier-1 examination of SSC CHSL between 16th March 2020n to 27th March 2020. It will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) and will be conducted across various centres in the country.

 The admit cards for the SSC CHSL Exam will be made available for download before the examination. It is imperative for all the candidates to carry their admit cards on the day of SSC CHSL Exam otherwise candidates will not be allowed to sit for the exam. Thereafter, SSC will release the merit list for SSC CHSL Tier-1 exam which will include the names of the candidates who have been selected for the Tier-2 exam.

As soon as the merit list and final result for Tier-1 exam are released, candidates must log-on to the official website of SSC and download their result. The Tier-2 examination would be conducted on 28th June 2020 and would be a descriptive test. Thereafter, certain job profiles require a Skill Test or Computer Proficient Test which are conducted as Tier-3 exams, dates for which will be announced later. Only those candidates who are able to clear all the exams and feature in the merit list will be selected for recruitment.
