SET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

The SET 2019 examination has some important eligibility criteria that need to be matched with that of the candidate’s. Without the right eligibility criteria, no individual will be allowed to sit for the examination. The students should also have all the important documents to support their eligibility claim. Here is a detailed description of the eligibility criteria to appear for SET 2019.

  • Tech: In order to be eligible for the B.Tech entrance exam, candidates’ needs to pass their 12th standard exam from any recognized board in the country. They need to have Mathematics as a compulsory subject along with any one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical vocational subjects. The candidates need to secure a minimum of 45% marks, in case of SC and ST, it is 40% in the qualifying exam.

 

  • BCA: The applicant needs to pass the 10+2 exam from any of the recognized board in the country or possess a Diploma in engineering/technology from a recognized board/university. They need to secure a minimum of 50% marks in the entrance exam in order to qualify. For the SC/ST candidates, the qualifying marks are 40%.

 

  • BBA: The candidate needs to complete 10+2 from any recognized board in the country. They should have minimum 50% marks in the entrance exam to qualify. 45% marks for SC/ST candidates).

B.Tech

10+2 passed candidates from a recognized board with a minimum 50% marks

Main subjects as mathematics and physics

With any optional subject from Biotechnology or Chemistry or Biology or any other Technical vocational subjects.

In the qualifying exam, the candidate must score min 45% in case of general category and for SC and ST it is 40%.

BCA

Any student passed his 10+2 exam from a recognized board or having a diploma in any engineering or technical subject can apply

To secure a seat the candidate needs to achieve a minimum of 50% marks but 45% is required in case of SC/ST students in the qualifying test.

BBA

Candidates from any stream who have completed his/ her +2 examination from any recognized university or board.

50% marks need to obtain in the qualifying test by the general category candidates. For SC/ST candidates the requirement is 45%.

A candidate can appear for the exam as many times as he pleases as long as he meets the given criteria. Any student who fails to show the right documents to support their eligibility will not be permitted to sit for the examination.
