RRB SSE Result 2018

The result will be declared on the official website of the respective RRB zones. There are 21 RRB zones in India. The candidate should go to the official website for knowing the RRB SSE/JE results.

The RRB SSE/JE contains three stages

  1. Computer based test,
  2. Physical efficiency or medical test
  3. Document verification

The result for all the three stages will be declared separately.

Medical test:

The candidates who have passed the computer- based test are eligible for the next stage i.e. the physical test or medical test. Eyesight is one of the important things that are noted in RRB. The person with the eye problems like having done the Lasik surgery or other surgical procedure to correct the eyesight that person will not be qualified for the Job. Vision is one of the important criteria in railway jobs.

Eligible candidates will get the priority regarding the merit list. RRB handles all the issues regarding the written exam. And they would also release the answer keys and cut off marks after the exam.

By verifying the answer keys the candidate would get an idea of whether they will qualify in the exam or not. The official result will make the one who is eligible for the post. The answer keys are released only for the candidates’ estimation.

The merit list can be downloaded through the official website by logging on to RRB SSE/JE merit list.

Merit list is the document that helps the RRB Board to select the candidates for the next process. Merit list is very important as the number of candidates who wrote the exam is more and the vacancies are less. So, with the help of Merit list, the RRB Board would select the required candidates for the posts.

The following steps would help one to download the results.

  • Open the official website of RRB (www.indianrailways.gov.in)
  • Click on the Recruitment tab. RRB regions will be displayed on the screen
  • Click on the name of the region that you are applied.
  • RRB official website will be opened.
  • Click on the link and enter the registration ID and password the candidates date of birth.
  • Click the submit button
  • The result for RRB SSE/JE will appear on the screen.
  • Download the RRB SSE/JE results in pdf format.

After the declaration of the results, the rank card/scorecard must be carried by each candidate while going to the counselling and they must keep the rank card safe for future references.

The scorecard will have the following details:

  1. Name of the candidate
  2. Date of birth
  3. Registration number
  4. Total marks of the candidate
  5. Section wise marks of the candidate
  6. Overall and sectional cut off marks of the candidate.

Document verification:

After the physical or medical test, the next stage will be document verification. The candidates who have qualified in the final examination will be called for the document verification process. The candidates who are qualified can know the status by referring to the official website.

The following are the documents the candidate should carry for verification:

  • Matriculation/ high school exam certificate.
  • Diploma/degree certificate.
  • Caste certificate for OBC.
  • Caste certificate for SC/ST.
  • Medical certificate for a person with disabilities.
  • Income certificate for waiving exam fee.
  • NOC certificate for serving employee/Ex-serviceman.
  • Minority declaration on non- judicial stamp paper.

The following will be the process for document verification:

  • The candidate is supposed to reach the venue at the time. The venue will be given in the call letter.
  • In the board office, they will give the attendance sheet with the candidate’s name, photograph, and few other details.
  • The candidates are called for the next process. The candidate will have to fill the form given by the board like name, roll no, few details regarding caste certificate.
  • During the process, the candidate’s original documents are thoroughly checked. Mainly the candidate’s handwriting and fingerprints should match with those taken during the examination. This is to check the genuineness of the candidate.
  • If everything is fine with the candidate, then he is selected. Otherwise the candidate is advised to bring the original documents as early as possible within one-week time limit.
  • After selecting the candidate, the panel is sent to the chief personnel officer.

After this process the confirmation letter is sent to the candidate through registered post.
