RRB SSE Exam Pattern 2018

The Exam pattern is to be known by all the candidates because that will only help them in cracking the exam.

The examination contains one paper having about 150 objective type questions. There will be four options for each question. The question will be based on general intelligence and reasoning, general awareness, arithmetic, technical subjects. The duration of the examination will be 2 hours.

The language used in the question paper will be English and Hindi that means the RRB SSE/JE question paper is bilingual. The candidate can choose either of the one language.

Multiple choice questions (MCQ) will be there in the question paper. 1/3 rd negative marking is deducted for wrong answers.

Preparation Tips:

SSE/JE is one of the important examinations that is conducted by Indian railways through Railway Recruitment Board. The candidates’ performance will be based on the preparation and study plan. If they are not well prepared, then it would be difficult for the candidates to clear the examination as the competition is higher. It’s not just the smart work needed but hard work is the most important.

Time management is one of the important factors in this exam. It’s the only difference between the champions and ordinary candidates. One should know how to manage the time and finish the exam.

  • The candidates are expected to study well before the exam and must concentrate on each and every topic thoroughly.
  • The candidates must make a clear plan for studying each subject.
  • All the candidates must go through the syllabus first and then must prepare for the exam.
  • Get separate books for each subject.
  • The first two years of engineering is very important.
  • Current affairs, economy news, corporate affairs are some of the topic to be covered in general awareness.
  • Daily newspaper is to read for current affairs may be English or Hindi.
  • Any diploma notes (if prepared any) will be useful for junior engineer exam.
  • Any engineering notes (if prepared any) will be useful for Senior Section Engineer.
  • Go through the mathematics book from 6-8 class for arithmetic, algebra etc.
  • Allocate the time for each topic and that would help to cover most of the topics in the syllabus.
  • Mock tests for few topics can be compiled by the candidates in preparing for the exam. Plan at least 5 mock tests during the period of the study. One who takes the mock test will be extra ordinary in answering the questions.
  • Candidates should concentrate on the weak areas first and that will help them in giving the best shot.
  • Short notes can be made for the entire course and that can help in good command on all the subjects.
  • Candidates can collect guidance online about the toppers review, expert advice and how to study the specific topic without coaching.
