RRB JE 2019 Eligibility Criteria

The RRB JE Eligibility state the minimum requirement for the candidates in order to be eligible to appear for the exams. It is important for the candidates to be aware of the eligibility criteria to appear for RRB JE exams. The following points will help the candidates to know about the eligibility criteria in terms of nationality, age limit, and educational qualification etc.

Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian national. Every candidate should provide their Aadhar number in order to be eligible to apply online.

Age limit: The candidates should be between 18-32 years for RRB JE age limit Criteria, Material Superintendent, and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant. The date of birth of both upper and lower age limits eligibility is given below:

  • For OBC candidates, upper date of birth would be 02-07-1980
  • For SC/SC candidates, upper date of birth would be 02-07-1978
  • For UR/Gen candidates, upper date of birth would be 02-07-1983
  • The lower date of birth for JE would be 01-07-1997

Relaxation of Upper Age Limit:

7 Ex-Servicemen Up to the extent of service rendered in Defence and 3 years provided they have put more than 6 months service after attestation
8  Group ‘C’ and Group ‘D’ Railway Staff, Casual Labour and Substitutes

 

40 years (UR), 43 years(OBC) & 45 years(SC/ST)

Educational Qualification:

Following are the minimum RRB JE Eligibility Criteria Junior Engineer (JE) post:

OR

A combination of any sub-stream of Civil Engineering from a Recognized University

2 Chief Depot Material Super indent Degree in Engineering  from a recognized Institution OR approved by AICTE
3 Depot Material Superintendent Diploma in Engineering in any discipline from any recognized  Institution OR approved by AICTE
4 Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant Degree in Metallurgy/ Chemical Engineering from Recognised Institution approved by AICTE

OR

M.Sc  in Chemistry/ Applied Chemistry from Recognised University

The number of attempts:

There are no restrictions to the number of attempts for attempting JE exams until the candidates are eligible for the exam.
