Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puduchery has announced dates for the entrance examination for the July 2017 academic session. The entrance examination for the Doctor of Medicine and Master of Surgery (MD/MS) will be held May 21, 2017.
The registration will be open for applicants from March 13 to April 19. The course is to commence on July 1. Along with the date of examination, JIPMER has also released the dates for the first, second and third counselling sessions.
June 14, 2017: First Counselling Session
July 12, 2017: Second Counselling Session
July 27, 2017: Third Counselling Session
July 31, 2017: Closing of Admission Process
JIPMER has a total of 200 seats for both MD and MS students. While 100 seats are occupied in the January academic session, the remaining 100 are kept for July. Both the courses take three years for completion.

JIPMER has also indicated that it holds the right to reschedule any of the above-mentioned dates due to any given reason.
