MAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Each year management aptitude entrance test will be conducted by All India Management Association by which the capability of the candidates who are interested to take up the management programs.

Every year, MAT exam will be conducted four times i.e. February, May, September, and December months. The MAT exam is not that difficult when compared to CAT.

The questions in MAT exam will be of a moderate level to easy level. Many top B-schools in India will accept MAT scores. Firstly, the candidates before applying for the MAT exam must check whether they are eligible to apply for it.

The eligibility criteria for MAT have remained unchanged over the years. The same way it is likely to remain the same this year too. Following are the information regarding the eligibility criteria for the 2020 MAT exam:

Age limit There is no upper age limit for MAT exam
Educational qualification The candidates should have completed graduation or equivalent qualifying examination in order to be eligible for 2020 MAT exam.

The graduation can be of any stream.

The candidates appearing for final year graduation exam are also eligible to apply.

Number of attempts AIMA has not given the number of attempts for MAT exam. So the candidates can appear for how many times they want until they fulfill the eligibility criteria.

Foreign Nationals and NRIs also can apply for MAT 2020.

There are no minimum percentage criteria for MAT but admission into the colleges will require a minimum percentage of marks.

When it comes to the calculation of the percentage of marks obtained by the candidates, it will be calculated on the basis of the practice as followed by the respective University.

In the case of Grades/CGPA, the conversion of the percentage of marks will be done on the basis of the procedure as certified by the respective university in accordance with the participating management institute’s eligibility criteria.

Fulfilling the minimum 2020 MAT eligibility criteria alone will not ensure the consideration of the candidates for shortlisting by the Management Institute. The candidates should also maintain a valid E-mail account and Phone number throughout the exam process.

According to AIMA, the graduates in any discipline can apply for MAT 2020. The candidates appearing for final year can also apply for it.

The candidates who have completed final year graduation exam are also eligible to apply for MAT 2020.

The candidates who are selected on the basis of February MAT 2020 score will be allowed to join the course provisionally provided if they submit a certificate from the Principal/ Registrar of the college mentioning that the candidates have completed the requirements for receiving the bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification on the certificate issuing date.

Once the candidates fulfill the eligibility criteria as mentioned by AIMA they can apply for the exam by filling the application form. The required details and documents from personal to academic should be submitted by the candidates

. Only after paying the application fees, the candidates’ application will be accepted. Then the candidates can start preparing for the exams and also should check the exam dates and time. The selection procedure will be made as per the dates provided by the AIMA.
