IBSAT 2018 Result

Results of this exam will be declared within 15 days. The results of IBSAT 2018 will be released in the 1st week of January 2018 as the selection brief has to start on 13th January 2019. The results will be available on the official website and check once it is released. It is important to know the application number and password for knowing your results. Once you log in to the website, you will be finding a pdf containing the names of the people who have got selected. It is essential to keep the list for further reference in the future.

Selection of the candidates is done solely on the marks scored by them in the exam and the merit list is prepared accordingly. Candidates have to score a certain cut-off to qualify in the examination. The candidates who have got selected will be appearing for group discussion and personal interview.

After the declaration of the results, candidates will be called for the selection briefings. Selection briefings for IBSAT 2018 will take place from 13th January 2019 to 20th January 2019. Under this process, the authorities will be giving the selected applicants the idea of various programs and activities that will be carried out by IBS. These selection briefings will occur across 40 locations in the country.

Next step is the group discussion. The candidates who are selected are made into the groups with each group containing 8 to 10 people. They will be given topics on current affairs or some common topics. Candidates will be tested for their leadership skills, tactfulness, ability to communicate with others and the ability to solve the problems.

The candidates who have cleared the group discussion will be selected for a personal interview. Here, certain skills like the clarity of thought, soft skills, and their confidence level. There is no specific duration for the interview. It depends on the profile and the answers of the candidates.

All those who have completed personal interview will be called for the counselling. Merit list will be prepared by calculating the scores of class 10th, class 12th, and graduation, personal interview, and group discussion.  The weight of marks is given as per the following table.

Since there is equal weight given to both group discussion and personal interview, candidates should give their best performance. Try to practice as much as possible before your actual performance. You can form a group among your friends for this purpose. It is essential to get knowledge on various topics.

During counselling, candidates should bring the self-attested copies of mark sheets and passing certificates of 10th std, 12th std and graduation. You should also produce the post-graduation certificate if it is applicable. In addition to this, you should submit the personal data form, IBSAT Admit card and IBSAT Scorecard. Candidates will be allotted seats based on their marks and the preferences. It is essential to select the preferences according to your needs. Spend enough time on this process as you cannot change the preferences once it is given
