Hi Puys,

Today's my first day of VL. Roaming into unconquered territory, I am doing recon.

Here's a question which has baffled me.

Three sentences have been given. You have to identify whether the 3 are logically related or not.

1. Either he or she drinks mineral water.
2. He drank Thumbs Up.
3. She drank mineral water.

Now, very quickly, many people will say that these are logically related.

But I don't think it is. Please tell me if my explanation is correct or not.

Here's my explanation :

The first sentence is in simple present & is a fact.

Now, mineral water can be drunk by one of the two.

However, the man(referred to as 'He') is free to drink anything else. No restriction has been imposed on him, expect that if the lady drinks mineral water, then he can't.

So, is it not possible that he can drink mineral water as well as Thumbs up?

Please correct me if I'm wrong. I don't want to do any blunders by my apparently incorrect methods.

Thank you!
May the force be with you!
