Wot us SCM exactly ...
How do u define the job / profile as ...
same for PSM ...

As in the definition seems easy by the wordings .. but wot does a MBA hired for a SCM profile exactly do ?
Is it necc to do MBA ops to get into SCM .. etc

Real hands on SCM vs derived knowledge. anyway get in touch with some employees of both co.s before you take a decision. external views may be different from internal reality.

but mkc is offering customer interface positions and they promised lots of learning and travelling around the globe.
cat's position will be at a fixed place.

can someone guide me with more info tht can help me in taking a good decision. i'll grateful.

Guna, go for Caterpillar. you will learn more on logistics domain of mfg/earth moving vehicles. a skill which will be high in demand in future. bright future. after few years u will become a domain splst and can join Mckinsey as consultant rather than BPO.
avoid Mckinsey Knowledge center. there they make you do ppts and excel sheets etc for their US/global based consultants. a BPO only. no real level skills in domain/function.
