International Institute of Sports Management is the pioneer in sports management education in India. Aspiring Candidates who want to pursue their studies in sports management, at the International Institute of Sports Management are shortlisted based on the holistic admission process.

The admission process comprises of 2 stages that facilitates in understanding the candidate’s liking & awareness towards the sports industry & their acumen for the business side of sports.

Candidates can also apply with their MAH-CET scores for Postgraduate level courses. Candidates are admitted to the programs considering both sectional and overall cut-offs.

The Admission Process at IISM have two stages: Stage I and Stage II

Stage I-

Stage I of the Admission Process for Master’s Degree & PGPs at IISM complete in two steps: 1) Caselets 2) SMAT & Overall Performance

Stage 1 of the Admission Process for Bachelor’s Degree at IISM complete in two steps: 1) Essay 2) SMAT & Overall Performance

  • Caselets (for MSM & PGPs) is the first step in Stage I of the Admission Process. Here, an aspirant would receive 4 topics over an email. Each topic holds 20 marks for itself. Aspirants will be given two days to submit their Caselets back on the email Id: caselets@iismworld.in . Caselets comprise a total of 80 marks and would be evaluated by an expert invigilator.
  • About Caselets: The Caselets are designed to extract and evaluate the best of knowledge of the aspirant. It consists of cases- that will give a fair idea on how aspirants think, their outlook towards circumstances, knowledge on current affairs and proficiency in making Plan of Action.
  • Essay (for BSM) in Stage I is a step wherein aspirants will have to share an Essay on a particular topic given. This consist of 80 marks. Aspirants will be given two days to submit their essay on the email Id: essay@iismworld.in

This will be evaluated by an expert invigilator.

  • The second step consists of Overall Performance & SMAT
  • The Overall Performance considers the Academic score, Sports Achievements & Extra-curricular Activities for 20 marks.
  • About SMAT: The test is specially designed to cater to a very specific domain – i.e. sports management. The test focuses on candidate’s liking & awareness towards the sports industry & their acumen for the business side of sports.

Stage II

This Stage will be an online, Video-Call based Personal Interview for 120 marks.

The total weightage of Stage I and Stage II will be 300. Aspirants needs to score 60% cumulative of Stage I and Stage II in order to secure Admission at IISM.

The final offer letter will be reflected on the candidate’s dashboard.

Presenting to you a white paper from IISM’s Sports Academia Research Journal (SARJ)- Predicting the Outcomes of Football Matches using Machine Learning Techniques, authored by Ms Nicole D’Silva. Assistant Professor- IISM & Mr Ganesh Narayanan, IISM student Batch 2018-20.
Analytics has been playing a major role in the arena of Sports & Machine Learning techniques are widely used in Sports as a part of predictive analytics for predicting the outcome of a match with the help of historical data. In this research, based on the number of goals and with the full-time results, the outcome of the football match is predicted using Generalised Linear Model and Naïve Bayes Model, respectively.
The English clubs playing in the Premier League have an annual TV rights deal worth over $9 billion and is followed by billions. It is widely popular for the great extent of uncertainty and unpredictability that it carries. This sheer uncertainty and unpredictability of the matches played in the Premier League give scope for Predictive Analytics. The key objective of this project is to explore various Machine Learning methods to predict the outcome of some famous English Premier League derbies.

IISM alumnus Atharva Maid from Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management batch 2017-20, shared his life journey and apprised the exposure acquired at various Sporting Events, after joining IISM. At the Khelo India Youth Games 2020, he was involved in the curation of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Manual on Operations Structure at Sports Authority of India.

Introducing Mr. Raj Lalwani, parent of Krish Lalwani from Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management Batch 2020-23. Krish is a cricketer and a certified fitness and nutrition consultant. He is passionate about sports since childhood and Mr. Raj Lalwani himself being a sports & fitness enthusiast, has been very supportive of Krish’s dreams. Abhishek Kulkarni is IISM alumnus from PGP in Sports & Wellness Management Batch 2019-20. Abhishek is an ardent sports lover, #cricketer and qualified fitness trainer. Hailing from a family of athletes, Abhishek always wished to do something remarkable in the field of sports. Therefore, parallel to being a professional sportsman, he pursued a Sports Management program at IISM to boost his entrepreneurship venture- Aim Sports & Fitness Club.  This venture was initiated to inculcate and nurture readiness about fitness amongst individuals and Aim Sports & #Fitness Club is into functional Fitness and Marathon training.
