Hello people,

I have got a Masters in Pharmaceutics, and professionally am in the field of writing/editing (pharma/healthcare sectors) since the past 4 years. I was looking for a career change - either in the field of Communication (Corporate) or for the Marketing/ Product Management portfolio for Pharmaceutical companies. I have sort of reached a moot period at my present co. - have become the team lead and the work does not excite me as much anymore.

I believe an MBA or a relevant degree might add further impetus to either of these career changes. I have looked at some options and many colleges offer Online/Distance MBAs for Media and Communication/Pharma Marketing/Marketing Management.

I would prefer being in the communication field since that way I can utilize my work experience; however, the field of product management also excites me.

Should I go for an MBA in the communication field (distance learning provided by average universities)? Or a distance learning course in marketing management (from good universities)? What will help in career growth? Even wrt to pay packages, media field (or least my current profile), it does not pay that well.

Please guide.
