puys i have my CAT exam on 11th nov, 10:00 am slot ...just wish me luck.....all i can say is that i will fight till the last moment.......also, i expect all of u to be with me at the IIM'S interview.....

ATB......don't give up......

goood strategy

My strategy is that there is no strategy :(

If anyone could guide me it would be very beneficial

Today, I am looking at functions and graphs

Otherwise I prepare DI from Trishna Time book (as my DI is pretty weak)

I also attempt Proc Mocks

What else should I do?

My CAT is on 8th Nov

just solve the di of 20 aimcats of dis season in time bound manner.

cat papers 2000 onwards esp, di & verbal.

stay composed.atb!!!

Though i dont have much of credential to the phase of aimcats leading to cat still i would like to give a suggestion:

Solve the previous cat papers from 2000 onwards, solve the di-lr.

Solve the previous 20 aim cat papers of this season especially di,quant.

If you have any doubt in concepts of a particular chapter, u can always go back & study the concepts + solved examples.

Hope it helps, dis d last mile stay composed.

hope it helps!!!

By the way i also have my date wid cat 8th nov morning slot!!!

wish u atb!!!

hope it helps!!!

hi everyone,

was able to complete only aimcat5 + analysis

all set for today.realistic plan for today.

4/10/11

aimcat13 + analysis

revise aimcat 5 and 13.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

mera bhi yahi haal hota hai dher saara plan karta hoon aur 60-70% hi ho paata hai us din

I gave CAT last year , got 86 percentile !

My score was 188/450 as given by IIMs. I don't remember the number of questions i attempted but i guess you need at least 30+ correct to get 95+ percentiles again this too depends on difficulty level of that slot.

totally agree i got 94+ last year i believe 30+ correct with minimal wrong answers should fetch 95+ unless the batch had a very easy paper.

well i told about getting 95 %ile not 99 or 98

if i wrote 98 then my mistake

but 30% score would surely land u somewhere around 94-96 percentile

for iims u need 30 to 35 correct answers

well same story here

sometimes touching 90 per then 60 then 85 then 30 and even 12

just a tip

concentrate on attempting everything right

for a 95%ile u need to get around 54/180

i.e. only 18 correct questions and all correct

however a score of 45 may fetch u close to 85 percentile

just concentrate on attempting 30% right

do ur strength

tip --- those weak in quants try di first

in di out of 3 sets 1 is easy 1 is manageable and 1 is difficult if u spend 30 minutes in di and get 6 correct right that will boost ur score

then come to quants and attempt the questions u think are the easiest

if ur accuracy is low

then try lr first coz in lr u r bound to get 5 easy questions

then try va

tip in va - learn all common confusebles word coz 2 questions are bound to come on them

all in all try 18 correct

and don't b surprised if a total 0f 20 correct and 3 wron or 5 wrong fetch u close to around 97%ile

my strategy

----

i have to implement this in next mocks

5 from di

5 from quants

5 from lr

5from va

correct, itna to cat ke actual paper me milega ki 5 quesion har section se sahi kar lo

try it

anyone who wants strategy planning even in last one month p.m. me

also search cat 2009 and cat 2008 cutoff at different scores on pg

if u don't get it p.m. me ur email id coz i have it

No offence, but I think you are wrong! A friend who is in IIM-B(he got 98.3%ile) attempted 42 questions. He said hi accuracy was more than 90%, so that means, we should attempt atleast 40-45 questions!
