Hi, Is the profile based call released after we have managed to achieve more than the cut off? Or just based on profile and later the cut off eligibility. I filled xat option but didn't provide details so what would be the following procedure

I have a GMAT Score of 640 (Q47 V30) with 3 years of experience at one of the finest startups of the country in Business and Tech roles, with performance awards at the company. I have acads in 80% range in schooling and 78% in UG with extra-curriculars as college club head and others.

There's lot of doubt on the GMAT Score based calls since few students have got calls at GMAT 600 and others have got calls at GMAT 650.

Can I expect a profile-based call from SPJIMR? @bolt1234567 @Night-crawler @admissions2018 @The_Hodor

@VarshithR7 true bro. . Finance is altogether different ball game. You are competing with the best and CA guys too.. Haha.. Finance is very difficult to convert.

With people knowing both the CAT scores and the IIFT scores we are fast approaching the time when they need to take stock of their options and decide how to go about things. Yes, XAT is still left and you should try to do well in it, However, that is a tough exam and if you have not done well in both CAT and IIFT then the chances of getting more than 98 percentile in XAT is not very high. In this post, let me outline the options of students at different levels of CAT scores starting from the lower end. Note that I am talking about the actual scores here and not the percentiles.

For all people who have got less than 100 in the first CAT attempt, you should definitely look at taking CAT again, especially if you have a good profile ( 90 % plus in X/ XII, 80 % plus in ENgg, 70 % plus in others ). If you can score around 160 next year you will be able to get calls from some of the top 12 colleges. If this is your 2nd or 3rd attempt then maybe it is time to realize that CAT is not the exam for you and try to take up other private colleges. If you have got between 85 and 90 percentile there are several colleges which are not the best but will still get you a pretty good job at the end of 2 years.

If you have got between 100 and 125 the same advice holds true, except that you can now try for some of the baby IIMs and better colleges. For people in the 125 to 140 range the CAP calls will definitely be there. Go for the interviews even if you do not want to join these colleges, it is a good experience. You may also get calls from SP Jain, MDI etc depending on your profile but to convert you need to have an excellent performance in the second stage,

If you have got 140 - 160 and also have a stellar profile and academic/gender diversity you can get great calls such as BLACKI and others. For GEM people this range will only give you Shillong and MDI/SP Jain/NITIE. Once you cross this range as a GEM and are between 160 and 175 you can get LKIS apart from FMS and other top non IIM B schools. Finally GEM people with 175 plus and great profiles will get most of the calls, more so if you have crossed 180 decisively.

I hope the above has given you some idea about what to expect. I have not spoken of the reserved category people here, they will need much lower marks to get the corresponding calls. Whatever your calls, you need to try your level best in the next stage as you are still fighting a ratio of 3:1 or 4:1 to even 10:1 depending on which college you are getting calls from.

If you want any inputs from me about your situation, feel free to send a message with ALL your details. Most people ignore to mention their name and other details, I will not be responding to such messages. Finally, if you have crossed 130 as a GEM and want to get CAP colleges or you have crossed 160/175 and want the top 6 colleges you can enquire about my training program. For that just send me a message with your mobile number connected to WhatsApp and I will connect with you to see how we can work together. I am not only looking at GEM people, happy to take on people from any category/gender :-)

For those who may be interested in my program note that the registrations for the first batch will close by this weekend,

I've made 2 small mistakes while filling the application. Was wondering how i can rectify it. The mistakes are:

a) Under the maximum marks field of Senior secondary School education. I've written 19, which was supposed to be 10 (CGPA)

b) Filled semester wise score for UG but forgot to do the same year wise.

Can anybody help me out with this? Thanks in advance
