TheNorthCapUniversity has once again been declared as one of the cleanest Universities in India! Ministry of Human Resource Development, 'Swachh Campus Ranking 2019 of Higher Education Institutions' has placed The NCU at 5th position among 'Cleanest Higher Education Institutions in the country'.
The NorthCap University Incubation Centre was established on 26 April 2017. The purpose of establishing Incubation Centre is to help students incubate new innovative ideas through facilitating skills like Creative Thinking, Problem Solving and Data Generation. The objective is to help students to float project and incubating ideas through industry participation and University augmentation. Currently, projects and industry problems related to a start-up company, City Innovates Pvt. Ltd., Gurugram has been taken up and the company is our main funding partner. University has also identified several student projects to incubate further through a University internal Technovation.
30 April 2019, marked a new milestone for the NorthCap University towards a road to success. With the parting notion and a warming gesture, ‘Adieu’, a farewell to students batch of 2015-19 was organized by the Department of EECE. The ceremony began with a welcome speech by Dr Vandana, followed with a blink of motivation from Dr Sharda Vashisth, HOD, EECE to an outgoing batch to look after their alma mater whenever possible. A bouquet of moments was shared in the form of a collage of pictures, reviving each memory of the time that they had spent together. The ceremony ended, marking each second with the scribbles so that they can capture the scenery forever.
Campus Life at The NorthCap University is full of opportunities that provides freedom and flexibility to engage in one’s passion and innate skills. In order to promote students’ interest in Sports & Cultural activities, a Music Club, Photography Club (Lumiere), Debating Society, Dance Club, Dramatics Club (Abhimanch), Mathematics Club, Yukti Social Club and many more are run regularly by our E-cell students. SPIC MACAY concerts, TEDx, Seminars, Workshops, festivals keep the campus enlivened throughout the year. Sports facilities for students like football, basketball, table tennis, lawn tennis and night cricket are big attractions and students utilize the facilities in the evenings and at night. A state of art Cafeteria (Café 10) is a lively centre of student gatherings. In addition, a separate Nestle outlet and small café provides wholesome snacks for our students & faculty. A state of the art gymnasium is coming up shortly for the benefit of the students.
Selection of the Research Fellows shall be done from amongst scholars who have qualified for admission, by the Fellowships Selection Committee.
In case of candidates from partnering institutions/industries, applications may be considered by the VC/BDR throughout the year, subject to the scrutiny for eligibility upon request by partnering institute.

Relaxation of upto 2years maximum duration can be provided for women under special circumstances and differently-abled candidates.

At The NorthCap Unievrsity, The admission into the Doctor of Philosophy Programme is done twice in a year, i.e., in November- December and in June-July by holding an admission test followed by personal interview. NET/GATE/JRF/SLET qualified students are exempt from admission test. PhD is offered in school of Engineering and Technology (engineering, physics, chemistry, math, and English), School of Management (SOM) for PhD in Management, and School Of Law (SOL). Preference is given to outstanding students, who have qualified for the Doctor of Philosophy Program through any National Level Test like CSIR-UGC NET or GATE.
A candidate can apply online or offline. For applying offline the candidate can download the application form from the website of NCU or can obtain it from the University campus up to the last date for submission of forms specified in the Admission Notice.

Momentum 2019, the Annual Cultural Festival of The NorthCap University was held on October 16-18, 2019 with fervor and gaiety. The Inaugural Ceremony on the first day set the tone for the three-day Festival, which witnessed a vibrant exhibition and amalgamation of technical and cultural events with sheer enthusiasm among the students. The ceremony began with the lighting of lamp by Prof. Prem Vrat, Pro-Chancellor of the University and other dignitaries. Some of the highlights of the Inaugural ceremony were enthralling musical performance by Encore Music Society, a vivid presentation of a contemporary issue i.e. drug abuse among youth by Abhimanch Theatre Society, beautifully choreographed dance performance by Morphinated Dance Club, a powerful skit on protection of our environment by the children of Yukti apart from a mesmerizing Bhangra performance.

With the same will and dedication, the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering celebrated The World Environment Day on 5 th June 2019. Dr Archanaa Dongre, HOD, CEE stressed upon the segregation of dry waste, starting from our homes. Mr Lokesh Choudhary, Faculty, C&EE addressed everyone, expressing how important the day is. Following with that, the staff and faculty members took a pledge owing to environment navigation towards the steps that we should take to reduce pollution. The event ended by
planting some saplings and contribute in the least possible manner by the HODs, faculty members and staff.
On 10 September 2019, The Global Education Summit was organized by International Youth Fellowship and International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry and Centre for Education and Growth and Research on ‘Character Education: The importance and necessity of Mind Education’. The summit focused to discuss the direction in which the University should progress to educate skilled human resources who possess an upright mind set. The summit involved Dr Kim Jae Hong, Director Education, International Youth Fellowship and President of International Mind Education Institute as the speaker along with other renowned speakers. The summit honoured Dr HB Raghavendra, Hon’be Vice Chancellor and Dr Ram Karan Singh, the Dean of RDIL and PhD studies and the Chairman of International Relations Office, The NorthCap University, presenting them with the Global Education Award for the untiring contribution to promote higher education.
To spread the message of importance of science and its application among the people, Department of Applied Science, The NorthCap University, Gurugram organized Science Exhibition on 15 October 2019. A series of science-related events are organized to inspire people to work in the field of science, engineering and technology. On this occasion undergraduate students of the University and about 172 students of class IX to XII from various schools such as Venkateshwara Internal School, DAV Public School, ITL Public School, SD Memorial Sr. Secondary School, Sishu Kalyan High School, New Sishu kalyan Sr. Sec. School, N K Bagrodia Global School demonstrated their innovative ideas in the form of science projects, models and posters. The exhibits by different schools were indeed eye openers on various topics like Solar Hybrid Chimney, CLARA Project, Water Quality Monitoring, Ultra Cane, Air Pollution Control, Nuclear Pasta etc.
On this occasion the students were also given a career counselling session and hands-on experience in different Science and engineering laboratories. Winners of various events were encouraged by awarding prizes and certificates. The objective of the event is to promote scientific temperament among students and to motivate them towards taking up science in their higher studies and contributing to the national mission.
