hello mam,
this was the sentence that i found in a article abt u r clg regarding admissions.. does this mean that freshers cant apply 4 r the pgdm prog???

if u cant repair u r brakes, make u r horn louder!!!! ;)

Do you provide hostel facility..? Can you please share the details of the same and also the details of the fees structure..?

Thanks for your query. We do provide hostel facilities. The fees structure is as follows :
The tuition fees ( Indian Students) is INR 500,000 per year ( Rs.five lakhs): for details Fee myra.ac.in
Regarding the hostel accommodation:
Single occupancy : INR 100,000 per year ( Rs.one lakh per year)
Twin Sharing : INR 75,000 per year ( Rs. seventy five thousand per year)

Hello:
You need not carry any document or credentials. These are sessions open to any one interested in knowing more about MYRA.
The objective is to create a platform for students and other stakeholders to interact in person with our dean, Prof. Rajiv Sinha and also others associated with MYRA.
This is an excellent opportunity to understand each other ( aspirants and the school) better.
Please attend the information sessions.

Hello:

Thank your for your appreciation for our faculty line up and campus. Let me address each of your queries/questions one by one :

1. MYRA School of Business has applied for the AICTE approval in December 2011. As you might know there is a calendar of events for Institutes/colleges applying for PGDM 2012 to AICTE. And as per the same, we expect the approval to happen in March 2012. We are confident of AICTE approval as we are offering much MORE that the prescribed. Let me highlight; As per AICTE an MBA/PGDIM has to have 2 acres of land and we have 10 acres; they prescribe 600 sq ft per class rooms and we have 1000 sq. ft; in every respect we have not only complied with AICTE requirements but gone much beyond. For foreign tie-ups there are prescribed norms, which we are following, so that will not be an issue at all.
2. 3.These partnerships with companies are not just for mentorships; it is for specific internships and placements. We also have extensive mentorship programme from the adjunct faculty from the industry, which is separate. Let me repeat, our partnership are specifically for internships and placements. In fact we will be having (intense pre summer internships) 2-week training programmes from specialized trainers to prepare our students for internships. For example, a 2-week programme on " Sales Training " for those going for " sales" division in companies ( as per our interactions with Kotak) , and the like.

We focus on Internships because we believe that they offer a very good opportunity to student to learn and also find appropriate placements.
3. 5.Placements for fresh graduates and people with work experience will definitely be different. Currently we are looking at a 80: 20 mix of students (80 % work ex 20% and fresh graduates) to add to diversity and also a happy blend of fresh perspectives and youthful exuberance as well as mature and tempered with experience minds. Our placement strategy for these will be different and appropriate to their nature and level of experience.
4. We are currently working with different industries/foundations for different scholarships. We assure you that there will be couple of scholarships by the end of students enrollment season.
5. The essay is an integral part of our application process. We have already indicated what we are looking for in the essay. We would like to understand the person behind the application. Let me reiterate once again here: The essay should focus on one's career goals and highlight the following aspects:
1.Evidence of leadership
2.Professional promise
3.Motivation and drive
4.Mistakes in your life
5.Overcoming adversity (including disabilities)
6.Personal qualities.

The essay has to be submitted along with the application.
I would also encourage you to attend the Information Session in any one of cities convenient to you.

Hello Ma'am,

I was going through the e-brochure and the previous posts of discussion. Though impressed by the faculty line-up and infrastructure, I do a few questions regarding the PGDM course.

1. It has been mentioned earlier and also in the brochure that PGDM is a AICTE approved course and tie-ups with ASU is in its final phase. Also, that the AICTE approval will be done by March 2012. So my question is whether the PGDM course is already approved or will the approval be done in March 2012. Also, will this approval include the foreign tie-ups too?
2. It has also been mentioned that for summer and final placements, the institute is in the process of formalizing partnerships with many of the industries such as HDFC, Kotak, Tata Motors and others. Has that already been done, because as per earlier posts, it was mentioned that the institute would put up the list of companies and firms that have come to agreement with the institute. Also, will the collaboration with these fimrs be like a normal summer internship and final placement activity, like we have in other B-schools, or will it be more like a mentorship by the firms, wherein in final placements, one will be placed in the same firm which mentored the student during summer internship, much like PPOs. What about if any student would like to get placed in some specific sector/firm, like a consultancy or an organisation.
3. Will the placements be different for freshers from people with work-ex, like lateral placements? And what about the Foreign collaborations mentioned earlier? Will they cover placements too or only student exchange programmes?
4. What about scholarship schemes for students?
5. In the admission procedure, it is mentioned that not only CAT/XAT/GRE/GMAT results, there are other factors which would be considered in the candidature, mainly work-ex and essay. Can you clarify about what are you looking in the essays? Is the essay to be submitted while applying? Also, when will the essay be considered, during application itself or at later stages?
