Hi guys,

I am and engineering graduate, currently located in US. Working as a software engineer. I have total 7 years of experience. I am planning to go for MBA.  I have couple of questions:

1) Should I opt for US or come back to India to pursue MBA?

2)I am planning to take GMAT...preparing for the first time so not sure how much time it will take?

3)Should I go for executive MBA or regular MBA?

4 )How is the prospect of online or Weekend classroom courses.

HI Prem, Whether you should opt for a US MBA or an Indian MBA is entirely your choice. A US MBA will open up your horizon , help you build networks across continents owing to the diversity they have in their classrooms as well as global exposure. You are equally eligible for both the executive and regular MBA. An executive program will give you more flexibility in terms of classes and the time you devote whereas regular would be more lock step and rigorous. Since you are already in the US it will be a good idea to get in touch with some schools offering executive MBA programs to understand them better. - You will need at least 3-4 months of serious/regular preparation if you are starting from scratch. This also depends on the fact how much time you are putting in for the preparation & what score you start off with. - There are both online as well as weekend classroom courses available to prepare for GMAT. You can decide on which course you want to take based on several factors. In case you can attend weekend classes then, take a weekend classroom courses - can recommend The Princeton Review course in your city. In case there is no The Princeton Review centre in your city then Princeton Review also offers online classes to prepare for GMAT. Let us know if you would have more questions on gmat preparation and we would be happy to guide. Wish you the best.
