i wanted to ask that b4 the interview,
1) is it necessary to decide before hand on the specialization that i want to pursue?
2) Can you please brief all of us about the various streams and the kind of jobs we will be in after 2 yr's of MBA?? that will indeed help us ans the most imp ques on why MBA .. :)

First of all, kudos for such a nice initiative. I have gone through your previous posts and all gave me some hints of how to handle different PI questions this year :)
But , i am stuck at how to respond when asked "why i want to move from IT field to MBA."
The thing is this type of question is quite common and to think of something different to answer from the same old dialogues is quite difficult.
Can you help me out on how to tackle this type of question.

@ramaaramesh

Hello,

I wanted to ask you a few things related to a PI. I am a CS Engg and working in an IT firm since last 3 years and now I am keen in pursiing MBA in HR.

First thing is that what should i tell the interviewer that why I wanna do a MBA in HR and leave my current job ,

can i say the truth that I did btech due to my family pressure and not of mere interest and now i want a career in hr as I want it and saw in my company dat HR is one of the most imp Business Unit of any company?

will ask you more questions in future:)

thanks...

@ramaaramesh hey there
I dropped an year for mba exams and i really liked ur ans for the same.will build mine around it

My question is .. i am a fresher..and so i am having a lot of difficulty answering WHY MBA ?
I dont know what kind of a role an MBA would offer me.Also i am not aware of the actual work done in each specialization.
Although HR /marketing interest me a bit ,i dont know anythin about the work a person does with a finance mba. Therefore i do not want to mention a specific specialization i am interested in.
My answer for why mba is becoming very run-of-the-mill and is redundant (i am told)
How can i be more specific about my career objectives with my limited knowledge and nil experience, as stated above?

Do help Maam :)
