The answers would differ for every individual and would depend a lot on many other factors, wont elaborate it here but just to give you pointers on those doubts

1. There is no ideal number as such for the sheer unpredictability CAT has to offer. As a thumb rule the test series offered by various institutes can be considered as sufficient enough as long as they help you hone your strong areas and strenghten your weak areas. Make sure you dont burnout towards Nov so dont overdue mocks :)

2. Usually preps are begun after taking a mock so as to judge where exactly one stands. June-July should be the ideal time to kick-off

3. Whatever suits you the best the effectiveness of mocks is more important than the spacing between them

4. At times yes, if you intend to take all the entrance exams of the season you would be encountered with a situation wherein you would have to take two entrance exams on a day so it's better to be prepared. On the other hand making it regular practice may not allow you to analyse your mocks comprehensively analysing mocks and your performance are the most important part of taking mocks. If you can manage taking two mocks a day along with analysing it then go ahead

Please dont start new threads for specific queries as it makes locating so many posts and threads difficult.

1-Ideal no of tests can be 30-40.
2-It should be started somewhere around August & the specifically when you are through with ur syllabus part.
3-Ideal spacing would be a week or two weeks.
4- Taking two tests on same day are not beneficial because mock cats require a lot of analysis & at the same time locating & working on errors.

Please dont start the new thread for this purpose.Use the search option to find the relavent threads.
Do read the newbie's thread and the basic rules thread.

Ideal no of tests taken should be around 25.Should be started only after you have finished the full course for the CAT. Spacing should be such that you get ample time to learn from your mistakes.Dont over do it as sufficient analysis is necassary to learn from the mistakes.
Only thing i like about stone in my path is, when I cross them, they become my milestones!
