easy method to find out the square of the no:

say 15
(i) square 5 =(25)
(ii) square 1=(01 always write interms of two digits)
(iii) put the square values in the respective digits place ("0125")
(iv) now multiply both digits of given no and multiply again by 2 and 10 (this 2 and 10 is common for all no's) =(1*5*2*10)=(100)
(v) now add the iii and iv
finally we will get 225 as an answer
this method will work to all two digit no's

here it goes like this

98 * 107 = 98-2
107|+7

= (107-2)-2*7= 104100-14(borrowing 1 from LHS, equivalent of borrowing 100 as it is the third place)=10486

PS: the no digit in RHS is equal to the no of zeros in base(eg 2 in 100)
also u need to add leading zeros or carry forward the additional digit.
