Which language is good in terms of work, onsite chances and in all other parameters
as i am into syntel and they r telling me to choose or tossing coin method
Okay ... so this is the silliest question I have heard in a GAZILLION seconds!!! Dude... first things first... there is no language called MAINFRAMES or .NET, and you just missed the other by a whisker. These are platforms used in the envisioning phase of a project to decide the architecture and design.
Second,
post your profile. If you are a mechanical engineeer, who knows squat, no need to embark on the journey of knowledge transfer
Third,
Mainframes has a lot of maintenance work, but it sustains a plethora of orgs today.
.NET and J2E are the platforms for integration. and design.
all have a bright career, if you know what you are doing.

dablu, mainframe tech is now only offered by IBM. rest all is maintenance. .Net is the in thing now. all MS dev tools are now in . Net platform.
