Ankit Joshi- First Year MBA
Why I join SPM & my experience-
Since I have four years of experience in energy domain (specifically Essar Power), it is the only institute which I considered the best institute for sector specific management course.
Though I was also selected in NMIMS Mumbai, NIBM Pune, KJ Mumbai and some more, but though I prefer SPM because of its niche course curriculum.
It has a best pedagogy for the energy specific course and a good placement record also with all types of companies (public & private) & profiles offered to the students.
Some alumni of SPM were my friends and colleagues & after receiving good feedback from them I decided to join the institute.
My experience so far is very good & enthusiastic. Various conclaves, & guest lecturers by the industry specialist adds value to the learning. I found myself proud to hear from distinguished personalities like John Kerry (US secretary), Shri Saurabh Patel (Energy minister, Gujarat), Mr Urjit Patel (RBI, Deputy Governor), Dr. J.J. Irani (Former President & MD, TATA Steel) and many more.
The faculties here are very good & have a very right kind of teaching approach. All are very cooperative & encouraging for the learning.
The best thing about the college is that it is one of the completely student driven college. The student clubs are the best platform to learn within the groups. Through working within the committees we learn many things which will really help us in our future endeavor. Being a placement committee member I did not find any kind of discrepancies with the placement claims made by college. A very good infrastructure & the complete green campus keep you always lively here. So overall I found myself really lucky to have a right decision.

Okay!!!! It has been 7 months since I joined this School of Petroleum Management. And I can say that each and every day that I spent in the campus has been adding values to my personality. We are proud of our self to be called as SPMites.
I have enjoyed every single day as a student of the SPM and the activities that occur in the campus. The most beautiful part of the program is that it is a full time Residential Program. The biggest advantage is that we can get any help that we want from the in-house faculties. The different clubs that we conduct by our-self is just the icing on the cake. The external faculties and the guest lectures from different industry personals give us knowledge about the concerned industry which we seek the most. These all experiences that I am gaining are helping me to become the competitive manager.
School of Petroleum Management
