dear pagalguy,

i wish to apply to wharton and other ivy league b-skools next year. i have been working for my family business full time after my graduation completed this year but part time i have been associated with it for the last 4 yrs. Will that help? Do u think even next year will be too early to apply?

U mite hv found this qs absurd but i need to to do my mba within the next 3 yrs, 4 at max and in case there are very slim chances to get admitted to Ivy Colgs nxt yr, i will give my best shot at IIMs where i have a better chance of getting into at this age as compared to Ivey.

hey allwyn

yeah i do understand that!!! Just that it is an investment around 2.5lac..! and I really do wanna do the 2nd MBA...so thought this might atleast show the wharton blokes that I do have some cultural exposure.

I understand that there is no weightage to these things but generally..how would you look at such a CV which has a term at world ranked top 100 collg...!

hey get ur point...though can u pls elaborate....? I mean, I am the International relations committee member so do not lack foreign exposure....however have no clue bout weightage given to these things in an interview...

If i go now i miss m farewell :)
some b school events....
and stuff

so kindly throw some more light if thth aint a problem...!

A trip abroad won't matter unless it is a part of a larger story. There is no 'weightage' to these things in an interview.

Hey

Allwyn

I am currently pursuing MBA frm one of the top 15 colleges in the country!! Our international relations program is currently 3rd ranked in the country.

Since before joining here, i have had a dream of doing an mba from one of the top5 in the world....!

And in my previous discussions with you, somewhere in 2008, u did mention thth lot of students doing mba in the US (wharton, kellog), have infact done mba in INdia before.

Now i have an opportunity of going for an exchange program to a world ranked 87th college. Will this in any way help me when I apply to Wharton, harvard, kellog, sloan, stern somewhere in 2014-2015???

The exchange is for a period of 3 months

would appreciate a nimble response...! am a freasher, and currently in 2nd year of my mba...1

Do stuff that helps you in your life/career and all that .. if that makes sense, your app in 2014-2015 will make a lot more sense 😃
