Amity Gurgaon Half marathon third edition saw more than 10000 participants from across the world.
Amity Gurgaon Half Marathon was organised by Amity University Gurgaon on April 03rd, 2016 at Leisure Valley Park, Sector 29, Gurgaon. The 3rd Edition of the event witnessed more than 10000 participants from India & abroad with excellent support from brands. Over 20 countries participants wore their running gear and participated in one of the largest half marathon in Delhi NCR the marathon which had three categories 21KM, 10KM and 5KM.Hindustan Times was the media partner of the event that was supported by the Gurgaon administration.
The marathon was organised to spread awareness about health and environment. It was flagged off by Dr. Aseem Chauhan Chancellor of Amity University Gurgaon. "This marathon is for peace, health, harmony, youth women safety and equality said by Dr. Aseem Chauhan . Several entertainment and informative activities like Zumba, Folk dance by amity university students and painting exhibition were also organised. It was great to come here I like running and half marathon was a wonderful experience" said by Astha Mukherjee.

Amity Business School, Amity University Gurgaon Presented Budget Analysis UNION BUDGET 2016-2017 Held on 2ND March 2016. The analysis was presented by students of MBA (Banking & Finance) 2014-16 batch under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Vikas Madhukar, Head- CFA (Centre for Financial Analytics) and faculty coordinator Mr. Rajni Kant Rajhans.
The event started with a presentation by Ms. Smriti Bangia (student of MBA-B&F 2014-16) focusing on the expectations from the budget in the present global economic turmoil situation and how budget tried to stand on those expectations. She also focused on the analysis of "Service and Agriculture sector". Mr. Ehtesham Khan (student of MBA-B&F 2014-16) presented a detailed analysis of "Education sector". Features of budget related to "Infrastructure sector & Corporate Governance" was presented by Ms. Eshita Chopra (student of MBA-B&F 2014-16). The economy survey 2016 concluded that fiscal deficit will be a key variable to watch in the budget. Minutes of "Fiscal Deficit and Financial Sector Budget" was identified and presented by Ms. Nandini (student of MBA-B&F 2014-16). The declining proportion of indirect tax in India in total tax collection and other tax related issues and benefits for both corporate and individuals was very nicely presented by Mr. Varun Kumar Sharma (student of MBA-B&F 2014-16).
Guest lecture on Managerial Management in Industry
Corporate Connect Guest lecture was taken by Mr. Alok Sahu, Founder & Director - BigM, a leading business consulting firm in Delhi/ NCR on 27th Aug 2015. He is an engineer from NIT and an MBA from IIM Calcutta, with more than 12 years of experience in Manufacturing, Policy Deployment, Skill Training and Leadership Development. The lecture was conducted on the topic "Managerial Management in Industry". He briefed the students about the concepts of Management. It was an enlightening session as he shared real life experiences and told the students about the importance of positive attitude towards life. It was a learning and interactive session for the students where he answered all the queries put up by the students to their full satisfaction.

IIW National Seminar on Welding Technology organized by Amity University

The visit was intended to help students understand various aspects of manufacturing namely industrial safety, manufacturing operations and assembly lines by providing shop floor experience and interaction with the Engineers, supervisors and operators of Groz Tools.
The students were briefed about the importance of industrial safety and various industrial safety measures, followed by brief presentation, about the Company profile, range of products , Quality parameters of various products, details of various manufacturing units of Groz tools in India as well as abroad. The students also briefed about the job opportunities for Graduates engineers within Groz Tools. The Presentation was followed by plant visit to help students understand the practical operations.

The Russian Language students of Amity University Gurgaon participated in "Days of Russian Language, Literature and Culture" held at Russian Centre of Science and Culture (RCSC), New Delhi on 11 Feb, 2015, organized by Embassy of Russian Federation. The second day of the event, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory over Fascism in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945), involved Russian language students from universities and colleges participating in the competitions on items such as dance, songs, poetry-recitals, costumes, poster-making, etc. More than 150 students took part in the competitions. It was a great effort on the part of the students. The students won first prize in three categories- dance, song and costume competition. Three groups of Amity University participated in the dance competition. They were adjudged at par and shared the first prize. Students emerged as the best group out of total nine groups which included Jamia Milia Islamia, various colleges of Delhi University, Ambedkar University, Agra University, Meerut University, Amity University Noida and others. Amity students also participated in the poster making competition, the results of which are awaited. The students participated in the quiz competition and poetry recital as well, in which they could not bag any prize but the students performed really well. The judge of the event personally congratulated the students and heaved appreciation on the faculty not just for the performance but also for the costumes selected and the whole preparation.
