Hello Ghosh!!!

The kind of prep you need to do can vary depending on your prior exposure. If u r doin Engineering, u must have given JEE and other Engg. entrance exams. If u scored well in Objective Entrance exams like DCE etc. (top 100 ranks), I guess your Quant is already OK. For DI I will suggest you shd have a look at the type of questions and then gauge your potential. In English it is mainly increasing your Reading Comprehension. I suggest go through as much books on Abstract subjects like Philosophy etc. as possible and Read Hindu daily. Also prepare vocab as it will help u in FMS.

Start: -
Diagnostic Test - Give CAT 2005 Paper in 2 1/2 hours dividing your time across the sections. You can find CAT 2005 paper on IIMB's site and some other IIMs sites.

Analyze ur performance.
English - 13+ is a good score.
Quant - 13+ is a good score
DI - 13+ is a good score

If you get 50 as an aggregate you are extremely good and can easily crack 99.5+.

For this you only need to concentrate on your weak areas and improve time management.

Do not be disheartened if you get below 13 in Verbal. It was extremely difficult.
