A: Provided a brief Introduction. Expanded on my areas of work, my awards in work, my onsite experience, my promotion etc 


Q2: Where do you see the telecom market heading to? 

A: Spoke about marginal revenue from data increasing compared to voice; Elaborated on Necessity of data-driven services; Alliances between telecom and adjacent verticals (media, healthcare, finance); Digital companies and Digital Transformation of companies enabled with ICT solutions.

Candidate Profile: 4+ years as a CFA 


Interviewer 1: So you live close by! It must be nice not to travel too far from home. A: Yes, definitely. Came in couple of hours early in order to settle my nerves and get an opportunity to interact with other applicants. 


Interviewer 1: That’s good. So I’ve gone through your application. Can you run me through your application? A: Mentioned about CA-Final, experience in CA internship while auditing banks such as PNB and BoI, global experience at EY in corporate and international tax, need for shifting to family business and work-profile in family business.

Q1: Read your essays. They were interesting. Shall we talk about your venture, its revenue, products and pricing? 

A: Briefed them on my venture, current products, problems faced in pricing few of these products and expected revenue. 


Q2: How do you differentiate your products from the market?             

A: Quality. We are trying to source raw materials and process in-house to control quality. Since we are dealing with fewer quantities right now, we are ok. Should work on the logistics for future expansion.

Q1: Why MBA and why consulting? 

A: Explained about my technical background and analytical skills and why I like solving client specific real world business problems. Also explained how I would get an understanding of different industries and markets through peers in an MBA class. Explained how ELP and case studies would give me hands on experience 


Q2: What was your role in the fast food store you ran? A: Talked about managing finances, managing inventory, CRM, taking care of employees, interacting with franchisee officials and so on.

Interviewer 1: How are you associated with the Green Batti project? 

A: Told him that my cousin brother is the founder of the project and he offered me a mentorship role in that project. 


Interviewer 1: What was your role and how did you contribute to the cause? 

A: I told him that I’ve been associated with it for about a year and a half & have mentored 3 kids during this period…

3.5 years wrk exp. 640 gmat (34V/44Q) would rate extra curricular and overall profile 8/10. Should i apply @ ISB cycle two ?
