XLRI-BM or IIM-L ?
My aim is to join a college that gives a boost to my career and gives way to lots of opportunities in future. I want to pursue marketing and later navigate to consulting.
XLRI Jamshedpur was declared the Best Industry-Linked Institute in Management . Award given away by Kapil Sibal http://www.siptrunkingreport.com/news/2013/11/07/7528734.htm
I realy dont think this is the correct way to talk about such a topic.. It could get volatile very fast.
But Isnt IIM K really growing fast. I hve heard of ppl who have chosen IIM K over XLRI for the brand value. Wouldnt K overtake XLRI in terms of value?? Or has it already??
@Matifa yes IIMk is growing fast... very fast... from 1996... almost 18 years its been... still cudn catch up with xlri though... ppl taking iimk over xlri wud be keralites who wanna be close to their families n those who wanted bm n got hr or vice versa... xlri is a gr8 brand... n abt has iimk overtaken xlri already in terms of "value"??? Really? u shud know the answer to that... 😁 hmmm u cud take a leap of faith n hope after 2 years wen u pass out, it does overtake xlri... 😃
Congoz to the ones who have converted their MBA calls. I am in a dilemma...I have converted XLRI BM and I am waiting for IIM I and IIM K results. Which institute should I choose if I convert the IIMs? How should one decide on this? Where does XLRI stand with respect to the IIMs? It has always been my dream to study in an IIM. And I have heard that IIM K is a really good institute. I am really confused...Can the experienced seniors and my fellow batch-mates guide me on this???
I will answer ur questions one by one...
xlri is definitely better as an institute... placements or otherwise... but if u r insistent on getting an iim tag, then go for iimk...now where xlri stands... xlri is in the top 5 in every rankings... only iim abc is considered better... people are confused between xlri, iiml and fms... iimk and iim I does not come in the elite category that xlri is a part of...
