Depends on how interested you really are abt PMIR at which XL is miles ahead. Tho at IIMs you can always choose an HR major, and you get the whole first year to think about your specialisation.
For the BMers, IIMs are IIMs, brands in themselves tho XL is right up there too. Foreign study and placement possibilities are also better at IIMs. And at 30K per year at L vs. 1.5+ lakh per year at XL, the cost-benefit analysis favours L even if you forfeit some fees. For the IT types especially, with a smaller batch size the Systems specialisation may not be very attractive (the Career Launcher site said something like this last year). .
P.S. Am XL WLer so have a vested interest in your leaving it too!!
me in a similar dilemma......IIM L vs XLRI (BM)
whoever i have spoken to till now have advised me to take up IIM L.....bcos of the IIM tag..n that for non-hr specialisation..L stands above XL
congrats to all...
i'm in a similar situation...have to decide on XLRI BM vs IIM L...

my background : BE comps...mumbai...2 yrs workex in IT company Cap Gemini Ernst and Young (now called Capgemini)...
JUNTA I am in a dillemmma. i've paid 1.13 lakh at XL (PMIR) and now I've got through IIML. 😁 😁 This was my only IIM call. Please advise!! I'll have to cancel my admission to XLRI immediately to get most of my money back.
Congrats to all IIM admit getters.
