Dear Friends, I am a Mechanical Engineer with 11.5yrs exp in Oil and Gas Engineering, procurement and Construction companies (L&T, SAMSUNG etc) and worked in countries like India, Singapore, Norway and South Korea. I have lead a team of around 25 designers to the maximum. My extra-curricular activities include playing guitar and event management. B.E. % - 79% at Anna university, Chennai.
With all these credentials I took GMAT yesterday and landed up with a low score of 510 (Q45, V16), IR -3. I am waiting for AWA score. I used to score around 570 in mock tests.
Request you to advice me, if I should give a try to apply for IIMA PGPX with this score or should i retake GMAT again.
Thanks friends!

I have 2 question,
1) Does taking GMAT multiple time affects the profile? (I managed to score 640 on the second attempt and i planning to take it for the 3rd time)
2) I am planning to take GMAT on NOV 11. Can I complete with the unofficial score? (However, I doubt i will be getting AWA score by that time ) Any thoughts on this.

Hi Kunal,
If you are applying for any reputed program within India or abroad, always aim for a 700+ GMAT score. Beyond that, the higher the better.
