They have some challenge too, which is quite popular among B schoolers. Having FLIP name on your CV will indeed help you in placements

Yes even I heard about FLIP certifications from one of my cousin who is a 2012 pass out he says they really help I getting internship in the domain of finance as one can project inclination towards finance from first year it self.
